| Perranporth is Cornwall's only civil owned, tarmac surfaced, airfield available for general aviation. Since early 1999, the airfield has undergone an extensive programme of investment including construction of a new hangar and the opening of a flying scool, ensuring its position among the top destinations in the UK for business and leisure pilots. Built in 1941 for the RAF it remains one of the most complete WW2 RAF stations in the UK, boasting three hard surface runways plus two grass strips. Situated on Cornwall's beautiful North Coast between St.Agnes and Perranporth, it offers the perfect access point for business visits to mid and west Cornwall. Within walking distance of one of Britain's most beautiful beaches, it provides a perfect destination for day trips, weekends, longer holidays or as a transit refuelling stop en route to or from the Scilly Isles. |
